“Hidden Figures” places deconstructed musical forms and playful reinvention at the center of the evening. Works by Arnold Schönberg, Petra Stump-Linshalm, Joanna Bailie, and Georg Friedrich Haas are woven into an audiovisual concert that moves between precisely structured writing and the openness of chance. Shifting tone colors, layered textures, and reflections on travel, movement, and displacement create a constantly changing musical landscape that invites the audience into an active dialogue—open-ended, multi-layered, and vividly coloured.
The MIKAMO Central European Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2007 by acclaimed graduates of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. The ensemble views concerts as a kind of Gesamtkunstwerk and regards the historical repertoire as an extension of today’s musical thinking. Dedicated to contemporary composers as well as to a distinctly Central European musical heritage, MIKAMO appears regularly in leading concert halls across Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, and the broader region.
